Juanitas Taqueria in Cottonwood

Very authentic Mexican food! I have lived in the Verde Valley area for the past couple years and have been trying to find a place like this restaurant..This is the first place I have found that actually has great Mexican! The reviews don’t lie. Today was my first time visiting this establishment. I was greeted by a woman with a warm smile and the restaurant was clean and orderly. The menu was easy to navigate and even has pictures to show you what the food will look like. Which is really accurate. The meat I chose for my tacos were very flavorful! Usually when I order tacos from quote on quote “authentic” places the meat is dry and lacks flavor. These meats were gushing flavor.. They also have a nice salsa bar with many different flavors of salsa.. ranging from mild -hot!, limes, and pico. The time that I spent there I saw the staff being friendly towards guests.. they obviously have pride in their work..and it shows. Needless to say I will be back. (P.s) I never write reviews.!

Good option for vegetarians, they were willing to making anything on the menu with no meat. Very friendly staff makes it a good place to eat

Best Mexican food in the Verde Valley!

When I really just want to satisfy a Mexican food craving, the deep craving, Juanita‘s is where I go :-) if I want something more modern/expensive/Tex-Mex… I will go somewhere else… But this is the real Mexican for me. The kind of Mexican that I’ve longed for when out on the East Coast, far away from the border, and unacquainted with any kind Hispanic souls willing to bring their amazing food out of their family kitchen. See all that color! And Love! Amazing guacamole, extensive salsa bar, and the chips are warm and fresh too! Don’t sleep on this spot!!!! Get there! And be sure to tip the kitchen and staff at the counter when you pay ;-) Cottonwood is Lucky to have this little jewel!

Best Mexican food in all of Cottonwood hands down. Its a very small hole in the wall type place so tables are Extremely limited. So take it to go if you're in a hurry. But if you want to wait to get a table then you can know that it will be worth it. Great prices and always check out the daily specials. I know that anyone would agree that this is the best Mexican food in all of Cottonwood.

My favorite place for Mexican food in Cottonwood. It's usually busy so be open to grabbing the food and eating elsewhere, but it's always worth the stop. Make sure to grab some of the great salsa too.

Absolutely incredible food, and amazing customer service. Every person working was so friendly and kind, the prices were super good for the amount of food you get, and both of our plates were bare at the end because it was THAT GOOD. Can’t wait to go back :)

The pork pozole was amazing with big chunks of meat. Added some lime, salt, cabbage and radishes to taste. I really want some more...

Really good, fresh food. It's very small so getting a table at lunchtime can be a challenge. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is very good. My 86 year old mother said her fish tacos were the best she had ever had! And she is quite the foodie. My husband loves the green Chile, and I like several things: chicken tacos, carnitas anything, and the fish tacos too.

Best Mexican Food I have ever had, been going here for almost 15 years, they have never disappointed me, it has always been incredible. I am celiac, live life gluten free, and I have never gotten sick via cross contamination here. Ever. Most trusted place for me, and my most favorite place to eat in Cottonwood! I always joke with my mom that this is who will be catering my wedding because they are So good and the food has been ever present in my life over the years(:

Cheap authentic Mexican food

One of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. Luckily stumbled across this place on our way back to San Diego from Arizona. It's a small shack beside the road. Must try the guac! Haven't found guacamole with such fine consistency and taste anywhere else.

Small, very busy, Taqueria. Staff were friendly. My Cali burrito was okay but beef was dry and fries inside were luke warm. Definitely not the best Cali I have had. Not what I was expecting as I've had several friends rave about their food. Perhaps I caught them on a bad night. Don't know, but may need to give them another try.

One of my first finds when I moved to Clarkdale. It's a gem. Everything I have had has been great. I have taken numerous friends and family there when they come to visit and they all have lived it. Super great for take out too

We love Juanita’s! Some of the best Mexican food around! Friendly staff and delicious! We love their breakfast burritos, carne Asada burritos, and my kids BEG for their bean and cheese burritos! They are by far the best we’ve ever had!

Jaunitas is arguably the best authentic Mexican food in the Verde Valley. As for Mexican that serves the bombdiggity breakfast? Bochas. But lunch and dinner? HANDS DOWN Juanitas

Absolutely one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Cottonwood. Small hole-in-the-wall place next to a gas station but that means nothing regarding the quality in authentic Mexican food. And the prices are amazing. If you're in need for some good Mexican food do not pass this place up.
